Re-use and repairability

Daurema designs and manufactures bicycle batteries and household batteries, using reused lithium-ion cells, seamless, easily repairable and reconditionable.

The battery design is designed for assembly, disassembly, repair and reconditioning. The different parts, such as the battery pack, the BMS, or the connectors, are nested and clip-on like Lego bricks.

In addition, Daurema also produces 3D printed wedging parts in order to have ergonomics and perfect interlocking of the different elements of the Lihtium battery.

Seamless assembly

This is a major innovation in the assembly of Lithium-ion batteries. To date, most lithium cells are connected together by strips of nikel soldered on the two poles of the cell. During repair or dismantling, these welds must be pulled out one by one, with pliers, while the cell poles must be polished. This results in human labor time and high energy costs.

This is why Daurema has developed, for some of its battery models, a system for bringing the cell poles into contact with PCB plates (printed circuits) on which micro-springs are attached. These two plates are screwed together, with the cells in between. So, if there is a repair to be made, simply unscrew the plates, change the few defective cells, then screw the whole thing back together. The repair takes less than 30 minutes, and it is possible to carry out this operation many times, over several decades, while keeping the same functional parts.

Ultimately, this system saves time, saves money for the customer, extends the life of the batteries and the cells that make them up, and significantly reduces CO2 emissions emitted by the battery over its entire life cycle. .

One battery per type of use

Daurema has developed different battery models:

  • For micro-mobility: small battery with 50km range specially designed for frame bags
  • For long or cargo mobility: 100km range batteries, with standard Hailong shell and shell support designed to take the place of the water bottle holder, without modification on the bike for grip
  • For heavy cargo mobility: battery with 150km range, with handle, to be placed in the cargo bike trailer. A fastening system is provided for perfect alignment
  • For the home: this battery has the same design as the heavy cargo battery, and allows you to store the energy produced by the solar panels, then release it to power your home. This battery is compatible with most hybrid inverters on the market. It can be carried by hand, and it is possible to connect several in parallel
